Dear Friends of Catholic Charities,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to our website. This is the place where you can explore Catholic Charities and what we have to offer. If you want to learn more about our organization, how to become involved, or are interested in becoming a volunteer, look no further!

Catholic Charities is dedicated to providing services and programs for the community and those in need with the utmost in care and professionalism. Through our four divisions: Youth Services, Family, Community & Parish Services, Mental Health Services, and Residential Services we strive to carry out our Catholic ministry of helping others, especially the poor and disadvantaged.

In the past, we have been very successful at reaching those who need our assistance. Some highlights of our accomplishments include:

>>
Implementing a Parent Partner project to assist fifty (50) families who have children with special needs keep them at home.
>>
Serving a total of 513,930 meals through the Emergency Assistance Program
>>
Our Annual “Harvest for Hunger” campaign to benefit the Food Pantry.
>>
Placing four infants in adoptive homes through our Parenting, Pregnancy, and Adoption program.
>>
Supporting over 1000 senior volunteers through RSVP in 2001, who contributed a total of 151,000 hours of community service to Broome County.
>>

>>

Catholic Charities does more than just provide for the physical needs of our community. It also attempts to reach the emotional wants. Let me share with you some comments made by some individuals that Catholic Charities has served in the past:

"Catholic Charities has helped me get my apartment, my wellness was helped along by C.D.T. and now I’m a member of 4-seasons which takes me on social events every Thursday and Friday. I always have someone to talk to. I love my job at Portfolios."

"Catholic Charities is an excellent way to help those in need and to raise public awareness of our cause."

"Catholic Charities has been great in the way they help out the community. As a member of the Youth for Life club at Seton Catholic Central, in conjunction with Stand in the Gap, working here has been a great way for me to try to make a difference."

This is just a taste of what we do here at Catholic Charities. If you would like more information, simply click on the links provided on this website for the areas you are interested in.
