Social Worker

1. Adhere to NASW Code of Ethics
2. Provide treatment that may include family, marital, individual and/or group psychotherapy.
3. Provide crisis intervention as necessary
4. Provide advocacy for clients
5. Link and connect clients to natural supports and community resources
6. Maintain required documentation
7. Participate in and successfully complete all required staff training and development activities
8. Represent the agency and program in the community and with other service providers
9. Participate in team meetings
10. Perform other job related activities as directed by supervisor
11. Understand and follow all program policies and procedures


2. Two years of experience working with youth, adults, families and couples; experience
with vulnerable populations preferred
3. Good organizational and time management skills
4. Good oral/written communication skills
5. Good interpersonal skills
6. Creativity in problem-solving techniques
7. Knowledge of community agencies/resources and ability to work with service providers
8. Computer skills relevant to position
9. Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State
10. Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 40lbs
