QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

1. Bachelors in Human Services field required
2. Three years’ experience working in human service field
3. Two years supervisory experience required

Skills

4. Ability to assign and delegate tasks
5. Good organizational skills
6. Ability to work independently
7. Familiar with computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel)
8. The ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing 40 lbs.
9. Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

1. Understand and implement all agency and program policies and
procedures
2. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
3. Assign staff and maintain adequate staff coverage to meet client/program needs
4. Monitor, evaluate and provide direction to staff
5. Assure that all staff training requirements are met
6. Convene periodic staff meetings, and submit minutes to manager
7. Monitor program expenditures and supplies
8. Assure that routine building upkeep and maintenance is done on a regular basis, if applicable
9. Maintain accurate accounts/program fees
10. May be assigned to participate in rotating afterhours/weekend on-call coverage
11. Provide input to Manager on staff training and performance issues
12. Establish and monitor relationships with persons receiving services and assure that
individual needs are met
13. Provide oversight/referral/coordination of clinical services
14. Represent agency and program in the community and with other service providers
15. Assure adherence to emergency, safety and evacuation policies
16. Establish relationship with all residents, family members and advocates as appropriate
17. Monitor and advocate for individual rights as needed
18. Participate in safety training and development activities
19. If applicable, ensure that medications/treatments are provided as per doctor’s orders
20. If applicable, provide supervision to Behavioral Health Professional staff.
21. Inform Manager of all pertinent resident and program issues on a regular basis
22. Participate in meetings as requested by Manager
23. Report and document incidents per regulations
24. Understand and follow all program procedures
25. Participate in and successfully complete all required staff training and development activities
26. Coordinate services with other community providers as needed
27. Regular and substantial contact with individuals receiving services
28. Perform other job related activities as directed by Manager.
