Good Morning Broome is a telephone reassurance program for senior, homebound residents who live alone in Broome County and worry about what would happen in the event of a sudden illness, fall, or accident. Seniors that have signed up for this service will receive a call Monday-Friday between 8am-10am from a trained program volunteer to check in. Volunteer Opportunity:
Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of others from the comfort of your own home? If so, we are looking for seniors who are available from 8am-10am for 1 week (10 hrs/ week) every other month. Good Afternoon Broome offers meaningful companionship to seniors through regular phone conversations with caring volunteers. Staying socially connected is a healthy part of aging and sometimes all it takes is a simple phone call.
