Senior Programs

  • Good Morning Broome is a telephone reassurance program for senior, homebound residents who live alone in Broome County and worry about what would happen in the event of a sudden illness, fall, or accident. Seniors that have signed up for this service will receive a call Monday-Friday between 8 AM - 10 AM from a trained program volunteer to check in.     Volunteer Opportunity: 

    Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of others from the comfort of your own home? If so, we are looking for volunteers who are available from 8 AM - 10 AM for 1 week (10 hrs/week) every other month. Please contact Gloria at (607) 729-9166 or gmcandrew@ccbc.net for more information on becoming a trained volunteer. 

  • Good Morning Broome is a telephone reassurance program for senior, homebound residents who live alone in Broome County and worry about what would happen in the event of a sudden illness, fall, or accident. Good Afternoon Broome offers meaningful companionship to seniors through regular phone conversations with caring volunteers.  Staying socially connected is a healthy part of aging and sometimes all it takes is a simple phone call.
