Behavioral Health Professional Supervisor

GRADE  12                                                                            FLSA  (Exempt) $26-$29.26/hr.

I.         QUALIFICATIONS

A.              Education/Experience

1.               Master’s Degree in Human Services field required

2.               NYS Licensure/ LCSW-R Certification Required

3.               Five years’ experience working in Behavioral Health

B.              Skills

1.               Knowledge of mental illness diagnoses

2.               Knowledge of Dual Disorders

3.               Ability to work with the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team

4.               Familiar with community agencies and resources

5.               Good organizational, diagnostic, and assessment skills

6.               Good oral and written communication skills

7.               Good time management skills

8.               Leadership abilities with strong supervisory skills

9.               Familiar with computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel, EHR)

10.            The ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighting up to 40 lbs.

11.            Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NYS

II.        RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager

III.      MAJOR FUNCTIONS

A.              Primary Duties

1.               Provide clinical supervision

2.               Provide clinical leadership in team meetings and in developing support services

3.               Provide services that may include family, marital, individual and/or group psychotherapy

4.               Participate as requested on related human service committees or councils

5.               Prepare reports as required by regulation

6.               Responsible for case record maintenance and other data in accordance with program policy and requirements

7.               Conduct Care Plan Meetings with all relevant providers

8.               Participate in provision of service by completion of  all required  assessments

9.               Act as resource/consultant for team members

10.            Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, may be required to participate in after hours on call rotation or provide back-up

11.            Review all team related incidents

12.            Maintain records according to applicable standards and regulations

13.            Understand and follow all program policies and procedures

14.            Represent the agency and program in the community and with other service providers

15.            Participate in and successfully complete all required staff training and development activities

16.            Perform other related tasks as directed by supervisor
