RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

On-Call Registered Nurse

 FLSA Non-Exempt  $25/day on weekdays and $50/day on Weekends

 I.         QUALIFICATIONS

 A.              Education/Experience

1.               NYS Registered Nurse License

2.               Two years nursing experience

3.               One year experience with I/DD population preferred

                 Skills

1.               Good assessment and observation skills

2.               Ability to instruct staff and residents in basic health care

3.               Ability to work with the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team

 

II.        RESPONSIBLE TO:            Supervising Nurse

III.      MAJOR FUNCTIONS

 A.              Primary Duties

1.               Provide after hour nursing directions

2.               Provide/arrange for emergency healthcare.

3.               Provide consultation to staff on health related incidents.

4.               Communicate with community health care providers regarding emergency situations

5.               Maintain documentation/ records according to standards and regulations

6.               Consult with Program nurses regarding health related issues

7.               Understand and follow all program policies and procedures

8.               Represent the agency and program in the community and with other service providers

9.               Perform other related tasks as directed by supervisor
