Supervisor – Level 1

Salary range $21.00-$22.73/hr. FLSA Non-Exempt

  

I.         QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

1.               Associates Degree preferred

2.               High school diploma or equivalency required

3.               Some supervisory experience preferred

4.               Some experience working in human service field

5.               Experience with OPWDD and/or OMH programs.

 

Skills

1.         Good problem-solving skills

2.         Ability to communicate effectively

3.         Ability to assign and delegate tasks

4.         Familiar with computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel)

6.               The ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing 40 lbs.

7.               Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State

II.        RESPONSIBLE TO:            Manager

 

III.      MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

1.               Understand and implement all agency and program policies and

procedures

2.               Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations

3.               Monitor, evaluate and provide direction to staff

4.               Ensure that all staff training requirements are met

5.               Assign staff and maintain adequate staff coverage to meet client/program needs

6.               Keep Program Manager informed of all pertinent program information

7.               Represent agency and program in the community and with other

service providers

8.               Monitor that incidents are properly reported and documented per

regulation

9.               Assure adherence to emergency, safety and evacuation policies

10.            Monitor and advocate for individual rights as needed

11.            Participate in and successfully complete all required safety training and development activities

12.            Regular and substantial contact with individuals receiving services

13.            Perform other job-related activities as directed by Manager
